Before the event:
Prior to the event a shot list was given to layout key moments and people who needed to be photographed. This allowed me a deep understanding of the flow of the event and allow strategic timing for when to get general photos and when to take specific shots of key events.

Provided shot list for the event.
While I was the main designer, I had art direction oversight from my coworker who also excels in brand design. We made initial layout concepts and decided that full-bleed imagery plus ‘break-out’ masking felt most compelling.
At the event:
It was important to capture everyone. For the below event, a farmer’s market, it was necessary to capture the city staff that attended, the business people, attendees and all with both posed and natural options so that the client had variety when making content.

After the event:
I tend to shoot darker so that the images are crisper and can be lightened in post. The events typically have canopies set up and are on sunny days so it can be a task to quickly adjust the camera settings to accomodate.

Before
After the event, the photos were sorted and edited to have consistent lighting. Then they were packaged with a contact sheet for the client so they could view the content conveniently.
